Plagiarism Policy

Mosharafa is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to plagiarism screening as part of the editorial assessment process before peer review and may be re-evaluated before publication.

The journal uses Turnitin plagiarism detection software to assess the originality of submitted manuscripts. Similarity reports are carefully evaluated by the Editorial Team, taking into account both the overall similarity index and the context of the matched content.

Authors must ensure that their submissions are original and properly acknowledge all sources through appropriate citation and referencing practices. Any form of plagiarism, including direct copying, substantial copying, improper paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or data falsification, is considered a serious violation of publication ethics.

As a general guideline, submitted manuscripts should not exceed an Overall Similarity Index of 20%, and no single source should contribute more than 5% similarity. However, editorial decisions are not based solely on similarity percentages. Similarities resulting from references, quotations, methodology descriptions, institutional affiliations, or commonly used academic expressions may be excluded from consideration.

Manuscripts that exceed the journal’s similarity thresholds may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap. If plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct are detected at any stage of the editorial, review, or publication process, the journal reserves the right to reject the manuscript, withdraw acceptance, retract published articles, or take other appropriate actions in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards.

Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software prior to submission to ensure compliance with this policy.
