Plagiarism Policy

PLUSMINUS: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must be original works and must not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate authorship practices.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, data, figures, or tables from other sources without proper acknowledgment.
  • Using another author's work without appropriate citation.
  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without proper attribution.
  • Submitting a manuscript that substantially overlaps with previously published or submitted work.
  • Self-plagiarism, including the reuse of significant portions of the author's own published work without proper citation or disclosure.

All manuscripts submitted to PLUSMINUS: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika are screened using Turnitin during the initial editorial evaluation. Additional plagiarism checks may also be conducted before publication.
The journal applies the following similarity policy:

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index of 30% or less may proceed to the editorial review process, subject to editorial evaluation of the similarity report.
  • Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission or may be rejected at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
  • Similarity originating from properly cited quotations, references, bibliographies, templates, or standard methodological descriptions will be evaluated carefully and may not necessarily be considered plagiarism.

If plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified at any stage of the editorial process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately. If such misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, publish notices of concern, or retract the article in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software before submission and to ensure that all sources are properly cited according to APA Style (7th Edition).
