Dekonstruksi Novel Kabut Dendam Ciayo Indah serta Implikasinya dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dekonstruksi novel Kabut Dendam karya Ciayo Indah serta implikasinya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya kajian dekonstruksi terhadap novel kontemporer Indonesia, khususnya yang bergenre misteri dan thriller, serta kurangnya pemanfaatan hasil kajian tersebut dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Novel Kabut Dendam karya Ciayo Indah dipilih karena memuat konflik sosial, psikologis, dan moral yang kompleks serta sarat dengan nilai-nilai budaya dan religius, sehingga relevan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengidentifikasi oposisi biner yang terdapat dalam novel Kabut Dendam, (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk dekonstruksi terhadap struktur naratifnya, dan (3) menjelaskan implikasi hasil analisis tersebut terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Datanya berupa kutipan narasi, dialog, dan deskripsi analisis melalui tahapan reduksi, interpretasi, dan penyajian data. Sementara itu, keabsahan datanya diuji menggunakan triangulasi teori dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Kabut Dendam mengandung berbagai oposisi biner seperti kaya–miskin, kuat–lemah, korban–pelaku, tradisi–modernitas, dan logis–mistis. Implikasi terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA meliputi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kemampuan menafsirkan teks secara multidimensi, dan pemahaman nilai-nilai kehidupan melalui sastra.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the deconstruction of the novel Kabut Dendam by Ciayo Indah and its implications for Indonesian language learning in high school. This research is motivated by the lack of deconstruction studies on contemporary Indonesian novels, especially those in the mystery and thriller genres, and the lack of utilization of the results of these studies in Indonesian language learning in high school. The novel Kabut Dendam by Ciayo Indah was chosen because it contains complex social, psychological, and moral conflicts and is full of cultural and religious values, making it relevant to be analyzed using Jacques Derrida's deconstruction approach. The objectives of this study are to (1) identify the binary oppositions contained in the novel Kabut Dendam, (2) describe the form of deconstruction of its narrative structure, and (3) explain the implications of the results of the analysis for Indonesian language learning in high school. This study uses a qualitative method with content analysis techniques. The data are in the form of narrative excerpts, dialogues, and analytical descriptions through the stages of data reduction, interpretation, and presentation. Meanwhile, the validity of the data is tested using theory triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the novel Kabut Dendam contains various binary oppositions such as rich–poor, strong–weak, victim–perpetrator, tradition–modernity, and logic–mysticism. Implications for Indonesian language learning in high school include the development of critical thinking skills, the ability to interpret texts multidimensionally, and an understanding of life values ​​through literature.
