The Effect of Applying the National Assessment on Student Learning Outcomes in Civics Subjects

This study aims to determine the effect of the National Assessment on student learning outcomes in Civics subjects at one private junior high school in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive quantitative non-experimental. The population in this study consisted of class IX students, totaling 19 participants. The sample for this research comprises the entire population. Data were collected by distributing closed questionnaires directly to the respondents. The correlation coefficient was calculated by testing the hypothesis using the t-statistical test. The results of this study indicate that the application of the National Assessment falls into the "Medium" category, with a frequency of 42%. Furthermore, student learning outcomes in Civics subjects were also classified as "Medium," with a frequency of 47%. The study found no significant effect of the implementation of the National Assessment on student learning outcomes in Civics subjects, with an average percentage increase in student scores of 5%.
