This study aims to analyze students' numeracy literacy in solving proportional comparison problems. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects of the study are 30 eighth-grade students from a public junior high school in Tasikmalaya. The instruments used include numeracy literacy tests, in-depth interviews, and classroom observations. The results indicate that the level of understanding of proportional comparison concepts varies widely among students. Students with a good understanding tend to use analytical and systematic strategies in problem-solving, while those with lower understanding rely on a trial-and-error approach. The main difficulties faced by students include understanding the language of problems, performing mathematical operations, and using visual representations. This study emphasizes the importance of developing conceptual understanding, effective problem-solving strategies, as well as improving mathematical literacy skills and the use of visual representations in teaching. The implications of these findings are the need for curriculum development and more effective teaching strategies to enhance students' numeracy literacy.
