Pengembangan media pembelajaran math treasure-hunt untuk mengukur kemampuan koneksi matematis dan sikap belajar peserta didik

This study is motivated by the low mathematical connection ability and learning attitudes of students, which are influenced by weak basic mathematical skills due to distance learning during the pandemic. One solution is the use of game-based learning media that is enjoyable and meaningful. This study aims to examine the validity of a scale-based learning design using Math Treasure Hunt, describe students' mathematical connection abilities, and analyze their learning attitudes after participating in learning through this media. The research employs a Research and Development approach with a Formative Evaluation design according to Tessmer. The subjects of the study were seventh-grade junior high school students. The instruments used included interviews, validation sheets, tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that the Math Treasure Hunt learning design was highly valid. Students’ mathematical connection abilities were categorized as high, and their learning attitudes were also in the high category. It can be concluded that learning using Math Treasure Hunt can facilitate students’ mathematical connection abilities and foster positive learning attitudes.
