Pengungkapan konsep matematis pada motif batik sunda melalui systematic literature review

Abstract
The study of ethnomathematics has developed significantly over the decades, especially for teaching academic mathematics in schools. However, only a small number of studies have comprehensively examined research trends is the use of ethnomathematics for mathematics learning. Thus, research trends for 2020 to 2025 are thoroughly analyzed through a Systematic Literature Review, which refers to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematics Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). This review found 16 journal articles from the Google Scholar indexing database. SLR findings show that Sundanese batik has 68 motifs that not only reflect wealth culture and local wisdom of the Sundanese people but also contain deep philosophical meaning. These motifs are inspired by various aspects of life, ranging from nature and tradition to regional history, which includes values such as togetherness, simplicity, and balance. Apart from aesthetic value, Sundanese batik also contains mathematical concepts integrated in the geometric patterns used, which can be applied in mathematics learning, especially in teaching the concepts of geometry, symmetry and patterns.
Abstrak
Studi etnomatematika telah berkembang secara signifikan selama beberapa dekade, terutama untuk pengajaran matematika akademis di sekolah. Namun, hanya sejumlah kecil studi yang secara komprehensif memeriksa tren penelitian dalam penggunaan etnomatematika untuk pembelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian, tren penelitian untuk tahun 2020 hingga 2025 dianalisis secara menyeluruh melalui Systematic Literature Review yang mengacu pada standar Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Tinjauan ini menemukan 16 artikel jurnal dari database pengindeksan Google Schoolar. Temuan SLR menunjukan Batik Sunda ditemukan 68 motif yang tidak hanya mencerminkan kekayaan budaya dan kearifan lokal masyarakat Sunda, tetapi juga mengandung makna filosofis yang mendalam. Motif-motif ini terinspirasi oleh berbagai aspek kehidupan, mulai dari alam, tradisi, hingga sejarah daerah, yang mencakup nilai-nilai seperti kebersamaan, kesederhanaan, dan keseimbangan. Selain nilai estetika, batik Sunda juga mengandung konsep matematis yang terintegrasi dalam pola-pola geometris yang digunakan, yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya dalam mengajarkan konsep geometri, simetri, dan pola.
